Kannada Cinema Industry has received such high recognition and 66th National Film Awards were announced in New Delhi on Friday.

Kannada Film Industry has Won 11 Awards For the first time in history and These Movies are Won. This is the first time in the history of Kannada cinema that the state has won a total of 11 national awards, including Rocking Star Yash starrer KGF and Shruti Hariharan starrer Nathicharami.

“I have been following for the last 35 years, and we would scale between one or two. Only at the time, when Dr. Rajkumar won the Dada Phalke award, the same year, Kannada industry won four awards,” Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy said.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar published the prestigious 66th National Film Awards list in New Delhi.
